Our Engagement Ring!!

Hey everyone!! It's been a bit since I've written and I just wanted to share with everyone some updates!!

• My Mom's wedding is only 6 months away!!
• My best friend Holly is coming up in 2 months!!
• We're planning a huge camping trip with a bunch of friends!!
• We've just about finished our wedding guest list!!
• We're moving to Sacramento this winter!! Rey will be at Sacramento State for the Spring semester starting next January!!
• We finished making our engagement ring, and we also bought my wedding band!!

I'm so anxious to wear that wedding band next to my engagement ring!! I'm so excited!! The photo above is a picture of my engagement ring, and I also attached some more below!! We were wedding band shopping when we realized that there was no band that would sit flush against the engagement ring I had, in addition we really liked the princess cut, so we just exchanged the diamond solitaires and chose this beauty!! We love the fact that the engagement ring and wedding band will now sit flush and that it's now a princess solitaire. I'm so excited, I just love my ring!! The matching wedding band is really beautiful, I can't wait to wear them together!! YAY!!

I hope you guys like the ring, I love it!! It's taken us a looong time to decide on our dream ring, and I'm so glad we chose it together!! Crazy how time is flying huh?? Life is good, we're so blessed!! I shall be updating again soon!!

Wedding dress ordered!!

WE FOUND OUR WEDDING DRESS!!

Well, juuuust about!! And yes you read that right, "our" dress, not just "mine". My Mom is getting married this September (she never had a real wedding before, so no dress) and she's getting her first wedding dress!! My wedding is going to be following hers so the other day my Mom surprised me when she asked if I would like to wear her wedding dress to my wedding. I was deeply touched. We are so close, it was so sentimental to me. Most daughters don't get to wear their mother's dresses because they didn't save it, or because it's decades out of style, or different body shapes. But I feel so lucky, we are the same size and we have the same taste in dresses!! Last week we went to try on our dresses and we agreed on our favorite dress (it was her favorite and my favorite as well!!) which also fit both of our wedding styles (her wedding is going to be in a rose garden and my wedding is going to be on a beach in Hawaii.

I bet you're wanting to see a photo of the dress?? Well, Mom and I decided we're not going to show anyone our dress. It will be our Mother/Daughter secret for only us to know until her wedding date! (Everyone will obviously know what my dress looks like before my wedding because my Mom will be wearing it to her wedding!) Soooo, I guess you guys will have to wait until her wedding (09.09.09) to see a picture of my dress. Haha. (I'm also going to take a picture of my Mom in the dress and her bouquet and put it next to a picture of me in the dress with my bouquet and frame them together. Something nice for us to see us in our dresses together.) So now I've got my "something old" which is my Mom's dress, and now I believe my friend Holly will give me my "something borrowed" and my friend Antuanette will give me my "something blue"!!

YAY!! I'm so excited!!

Would YOU Drink Cow Pee??

Soda pop, coffee, tea, what do you like drink?? How about a nice refreshing glass of cow pee?? Yup, you read that right, I did say COW PEE!! The battle is not over, have you heard that Ken Starr -- and the Prop 8 Legal Defense Fund -- filed legal briefs defending the constitutionality of Prop 8 and attempting to forcibly divorce 18,000 same-sex couples that were married in California last year? The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in this case on March 5, 2009, with a decision expected within the next 90 days.

Chris Brown: Woman Beater.

Musical Princess Rhianna as we all know has been a victim of domestic violence by her (hopefully ex) boyfriend Chris Brown. It's said that the argument when Brown received a text message (booty call) and Rhianna saw it and he then choked her and threatened to kill her. Later in the hotel things escalated as a hotel patron heard screams and yells and called for help. The police came and Brown fled the scene and left the singer with bruises, cuts, bite marks, and a broken nose (that Rhianna's Grandma is denying). She was also left unconcious! But what doesn't make sense, is where did he go without his car?? That's right, Brown left without his vehicle. If someone helped him flee the scene then that one person is now involved in some sticky shizz!!

There never a reason to lay you hand on another being. (Of course unless they hit you first!!) Feel better RiRi!!

Rey's Surprise 22ed Birthday!!

This has been such a crazy weekend, it was Rey's birthday!! The whole week prior to the big weekend Nick (Rey's good friend) and I had planned a whole weekend get away! You have no idea how hard it was to keep this a secret from Rey when I'm home with him 247 and when Nick is often times hanging out with us at the house as well. We had to be very sneaky!! It was sooo hard!! But it was sooo worth it!!

Thursday I had Rey preoccupied with some of the guys playing basketball like he normally does at Gellert. Nick and I picked up the rental SUV (which I totally want to buy now!!) and we loaded up the Jeep with all of the goods (plus the snow boards and gear!) and headed out to surprise Rey at the park. We rolled up, I honked he looked confused so I hopped out the car and told him I got a new car. He was so confused, I asked him if he wanted to come and look at my new car and he followed, and then I opened up the back door and he saw it was packed!! We then surprised him and said we were headed to Reno and Tahoe! He was speechless. All he kept saying was, "Wait, who's car is this??" Haha. I had to them explain we rented it but he was still lost and confused. He followed us in his car home and was still confused, but he had a really big smile on his face. We headed off to Reno where we stayed at the beautiful Grand Sierra Resort. For three days straight we went Casino hopping. Man, Reno's casinos and the free drinks.. That's all I'll say!! We were SO busy partying we barely slept! A total of 7 hours of sleep in 3 days!! We ended up not snow boarding at all!! We were way too into partying (and recovering)!! So spoiled with good drinks and room service! (As you can see from the picture above, the room service even rolls the food up on a table so you don't even have to get out of bed!!) Definitely tons of fun!! He said this was the best birthday he's ever had ever. So it was definately worth it!!

Sunday night was Rey's actual 22ed birthday, and we had dinner and a movie with his family. Monday followed with dinner with my Mom, yummy home made food. Delish!! The weekend is over, and I'm still pooped. I guess all the lack of sleep really got to me. I've been feeling like crap, icky being sick!

Anyways, sorry I've been so busy and unable to update as often as I'd like. I guess this 2009 has just been so busy I haven't had much time. Anyways, I hope you all are doing fab, I love you all!!
