Spring Semester for the Couple!!

Hey everyone!! I'm writing you all from our school library before my next class starts! We just started our spring semester, and FINALLY we are making some progress!! This May we will walk the stage (perhaps, I'm still not sure if this is worth walking for) to get our AA degree. Then we'll be transferring by the end of the year if everything goes right and if there are no budget cuts!! We are so excited!! Please Mr. Governor, don't take any more of our classes away from us!!

Other news, my Mom is moving on Feb. 26th!! She bought a new house!! I'm super excited!! That weekend is going to be really busy!! Not only is that the week she moves into a new house, but that's also the week we take our engagement photos!! I'm so excited!! I've been a fan of Eddy Fong of Renai Photographer for so long, and to finally be working with him, it's going to be so amazing!!

Rey's birthday is coming up around the corner (Feb. 8th) so I'm getting really excited!! He'll be turning 23!! Phew!! Can you believe we met when he was 18, and I was only 17?? We were TEENS!! Pretty soon Rey will be his marry age of 24, and I will be my marrying age of 23.. How time sure has flown!! The other day I was packing some stuff and ran across my high school senior yearbook. I thumbed through it and stumbled upon the senior dedication page he wrote for me. Ahh, it was so sweet!! He signed it, "You hubby Rey Ramirez". He knew even years ago that one day we'd be getting married. I can't wait til next year!! It seems so far away, yet so close especially because we have aimed to do NO planning or DIYing for the last 3 months of our engagement. All we want to do then is worry about the Save the Dates, RSVPs, and final deposits and guest count. Other than that, we want all the other stuff done and chosen. We don't want to stress as the final months close in. My Mom finished her planning with 2 months to spare (aside from the RSVP and the final deposits and guest count), so I know we can do it for sure!! I have bad skin, so I want to focus on remaining as stress free as possible and take care of my skin so I don't have a HUGE zit on my face when the wedding rolls around. These past 2 weeks my skin has been looking great, I'm so impressed. But I guess because my face skin got so used to this crazy cold weather, it's not breaking out. (My skin breaks out when the weather changes).

Anyways, we hope everyone is doing well!! Hopefully 2010 is being good to you. We can't believe how January is almost over!! The year is already going by really fast!! Yahoo!! 2010 roll over, so our wedding year can get here already!!

P.S. The photo above is a photo taken of the senior dedication page Rey did for me in my high school year book 4 years ago!! Isn't it so cute that back then he knew that 6 years later we'd be getting married?? Fate, it's crazy!! <3<3

Come Support Us on Facebook!!

We seriously get a kick out of reading some Facebook pages, so I figured hey we should just make some of pages of our own!! So last night we did and if you know Rey and I then you'll understand why we made these pages!!

One is called My Significant Other's Other Girlfriend/Wife is His Stupid Video Games. Haha!! You know how Rey is seriously attached to his video games!! He's always on that freaking thing!! It's like his other Fiancee. Haha!! I know there are many other woman out there who know exactly what I'm going through, so I figured it's going to be a really fun page with funny questions every day for our fans to answer.

The other page we made is called I am HAPPILY ENGAGED!! Figured it was appropriate for the special moment in our lives. And I thought it would be great to be able to share with other engaged couples as well. We can share ideas with one another and see how everyone's planning is going along. Feel free to become fans and help my pages grow!! Thanks!!

Bride's 22nd Birthday Bash!!

So my 22nd birthday just passed on January 8th. Rey said I could do whatever I wanted so we with a few of our friends headed up to South Lake Tahoe to stay at a cabin and go snowboarding!! We also stopped over at Reno to do some gambling as you can see from the photo above. The cabin was so cute!! It was right there where the lake was. And the lake had froze over so we were able to literally walk on water!! It was so gorgeous!! The whole trip was super fun!!

The 5 day vacation ended up extending to 6 days. The morning when we left the cabin to come home around 6:45 am it was super dark we can barely see the road, there's black ice, and its mad snowing. An alert just came on for chains for those who don't have 4 wheel drive and snow tires. Road worker pulled us over to tell us to be careful because it just got real bad. The SUV spun out of control onto the other side of the road and we crashed into the icy wall. The car was beat up, and the snowboards which were locked into the racks busted open and flew out. My life truly flashed before my eyes when the car spun out of control. I am so thankful we crashed where we did and not before or after that section or else it would have been at the cliff. I'm so happy that we didn't crash into that on coming car, thankfully they pulled over and stopped as we were spinning on the ice. Goodness knows what would have happened if they didn't. Our group ended up splitting up because some people still wanted to drive because if they didn't we'd have to wait til Thursday for the snow to clear. I didn't feel comfortable with that because for starters the driver never drove that route, plus the weather, and the car was banged up, and in addition, even if you drive safely you cannot control the other drivers on the road so they may crash into you know what I mean?? So Rey and I along with one other friend decided to take the Grey Hound which transfer us to a safe train ride home. 16 hours after the accident, we are finally home safe. It was so crazy. I am so grateful to be alive and that we all walked out safely.

Such an eventful birthday trip. Haha!!

01-02-2010 Palindrome Day!!

Just look at today's date!! 01-02-2010!! Freaky mirror image eh?? Hehee!!

Anyways, a bit of an update. New Years was amazing!! We had a good time watching the fireworks are the Ferry Building (we got the best spot!! Our first 2010 picture is placed above), and then trekking al over SF at the bars, pizza parlor, and then landing our night at the Mark Hopkins Hotel where the after party took place. It was a great way to ring in 2010 and also our 4 1/2 year anniversary. Plus it's was the exact count down for the wedding with 1 year and 6 months to go.

Speaking of wedding, I'm working a little something something custom for our wedding. I'd spill the beans with you guys but I want it to be a surprise. Let's just say, I want to make this wedding very special with lots of custom touches and lots of special details!! In addition to that our engagement photos are around the corner!! They will be taken sometime in either February or early March!! We're really excited for it, but realize that with it being so close, we really have to lose some weight. Haha!!

Hope everyone is doing great!! 2010 has started off great already!!
