So very true!! I believe KevJumba did a great job tackling such a serious issue in this video!! Much credit to him!! He did great!! Keep it up man!! But on a more serious note, I can't believe people are still being close minded and racist, but I just experianced this the other day during dinner. It was sad, and reminded me that just because it's 2008 there are still stupid people out there who need to be educated and stop all the hate!! Come on now, we're all M&Ms in the end right??

Hey all, I was really busy on Friday with Rey's family today. We had a very productive family day today so I just NOW have the time to log in and post. So here is Friday's VHOF and also todays! Enjoy!!

I think this is just too funny!! I'm not close to my Dad like this, but I am very close to my Mom. And everything thinks my Mom is just so funny, cool, and "hip"!! Haha! It's funny!!

I remember when my Mom was trying to teach me how to drive a stick shift. Our agreement is if she yelled at me, I'd quit. Needless to say, she yelled at me, I quit, and now I drive an automatic. LMAO. But I totally remember feeling soooo embarrassed when a car pulled up behind me at a stop light. Then I had to roll down my window and wave my arm for them to go around me. Goodness, I don't think I'll ever get a stick shift down!

Such a sweet touching song. The other day I spoke to Rey and asked if he's visited his Grandpa lately. As life passes, we lose loved ones, people come and go. As days go on, we don't seem to stop by and visit as often, and we don't seem to remember as much. So today, please take the time out of your busy day and go visit your lost loved one. Talk to them, tell them how much you miss them, and how you wish them well. They're listening and always looking down on you.

"A while ago, a couple of us discovered the Red Bull Flugtag -
a crazy flying contest that is held in Chicago this year, on September 6th.
Basically, teams of people build giant flying “crafts” and push them off a man-made runway 30 feet above Lake Michigan.

We put a team together, the Wheeled Wingers, and entered our design sketch–
inspired by the Red Wings and their recent Stanley Cup win. We were officially accepted a few weeks ago, and now we’re trying to bring our drawing to life. We know we can do it, but we’re hoping to raise some money to help get us there. Derek’s created this site to try and further the cause, as well as get any news/info up here about our progress.

If you want to help, you can go to our paypal site. Any donations received would pay for materials and our trip to Chicago — basically making sure we don’t break the bank making this happen.

Also, anything we don’t need we want to give back, so all extra donation money, we will give to the Ilitch Charties for Children. It’d be great to be able to do this and make a contribution to a great local charity too…

This year’s Flugtag in Chicago should be a good one, with 34 teams from all over the U.S., and an expected attendance of over 200,000.

Weekly Update!!

Hey all!!

Oh my goodness!! This week has been super busy!! I've decided to have a weekly update on me, family, and just stuff in general! That way you'll be updated with what's going on more often. I haven't pick out which day I'll do this on, but as time passes I'll settle on a date. Things are just too hectic right now to pick!

I haven't been on since Thursday, and I'm sorry! I just got swamped! To start things off, school started this week!! I now have on campus classes on Monday and Wednesday! However I also have two online classes, and that takes up a lot of time too!! You know how it is when the semester starts! How hectic it is getting classes, dropping, adding, settling in and getting the swing of things! Plus I'm working Saturday and Sunday! Hopefully things will calm down and I'll be back to my normal routine in the next two weeks or so!! So thanks for baring with me! Hang it there!!

What's new?? Let me see.. This week aside from all the school hectic-ness (my new made up word!) and work, Rey and I have been spending a lot of one on one time together!! The other night we went to dinner together and watched Tropic Thunder (his choice). It was a great date night! And tonight we went to the circus!! We watched Circus Vargas at the ever so ghetto Southland Mall parking lot! Haha (reading that sounds so ghetto!) But you know, it's a small traveling circus! It was so great! I was even called up on stage! Rey got it on video so once he uploads it on YouTube I'll be happy to share it with you!! In addition, we got to hold a HUGE albino python!! I have a picture of it, but my scanner is being stupid, so when I get to Millbrae this week I'll go ahead and scan it there!! The little boy gymnast was my ultimate favorite!! He's so talented! I'd get dizzy flipping back and fourth so much!! I think Rey liked the Motorcycle ball stunts!! It's a metal ball/dome and motorcycles drive inside the ball!! I can't believe they fit two cyclist in there!! Hands free, then holding hands, and then upside down together!! So very cool!! You can get cheap tickets for this show for only $20 for the far seats, but the tent isn't really big so you'll still get a great view! However, for $5 more you can sit where we sat. Not the first two rows ringside VIP but the next best which is the front row of the walk way. (Practically the very front because ringside is literally at the ring.) That's where a lot of people get called to help volunteer! It's a great show! Small, fun, and very diverse! We were amazed there was so many different nationalities of performers there of all different sizes! One of the acts where these two girls, and they were very different in size!! A very slender woman, and a bigger plus size woman!! They did great!! It was great to see them working together!! Yay for the plus size!! This week should be a bit less crazy because it's not the first week of school. It's actually the fourth day, but my first day for one of my classes today (Monday). Sorry Sunday Savings isn't up yet. I'm Home!!

Hey all!!

We're finally back home from our road trip!! Crazy, fun, exciting, frustrating, tiring, hot, and over good trip!

Monday was super hot when we got to San Diego. Tuesday was no different! Sea World was amazing, but I got burned (for the first time!) because we were in the direct sun light for 13 hours!! Wednesday we went to the beach, but ironically it was the least hot day!! We had a fabulous dinner with my family, and left at 5 am to head to L.A. Six Flags was super fun! To my surprise, the lines were very short. The fun wasn't taken to the max, unfortunately our two friends got sick that morning, and Rey was feeling tired from the sun. At 9 am that morning it was already 93 degrees. As the day passed, it only got hotter!! We got to the hotel late, and couldn't enjoy all of the amenities. The drive home, while passing Gilroy, there was a big rig that caught on fire on the other side of the highway. Traffic was stuck for about 20 miles!! I hope the driver was safe, and felt so bad for everyone stuck in traffic. It was about 100 degrees!!

I'll upload pictures later, just thought I'd check in with everyone. I've got work tomorrow, so when I'm finished with that, I'll upload tons of photos!! Missed you all, and hope you all had a great week!!

Road Trip!!

Hey all, just wanted to let everyone know that I wont be blogging this week because I'm leaving in less than 12 hours on a road trip!! Rey and I and our two friends will be going to San Diego!! We are arriving Monday, go to Sea World on Tuesday, touring San Diego Wednesday, driving to L.A. on Thursday and going to 6 Flags Magic Mountain, then driving home Friday!!

Wish us a safe trip. Looking forward on a fun and safe trip, and returning safely and on time. I'll miss you all!! Take care of yourselves and your loved ones until then and always!!
