Time Some Time to Help..

Hey readers, please take the time to help out of you can! A friend's friend of mine is doing something super cool, and I know you'll just want to be apart of it!! You know those funny commercials you see for Red Bull?? Ya know those flying things falling into the water?? We'll they're building one!! How cool is that??

"A while ago, a couple of us discovered the Red Bull Flugtag -
a crazy flying contest that is held in Chicago this year, on September 6th.
Basically, teams of people build giant flying “crafts” and push them off a man-made runway 30 feet above Lake Michigan.

We put a team together, the Wheeled Wingers, and entered our design sketch–
inspired by the Red Wings and their recent Stanley Cup win. We were officially accepted a few weeks ago, and now we’re trying to bring our drawing to life. We know we can do it, but we’re hoping to raise some money to help get us there. Derek’s created this site to try and further the cause, as well as get any news/info up here about our progress.

If you want to help, you can go to our paypal site. Any donations received would pay for materials and our trip to Chicago — basically making sure we don’t break the bank making this happen.

Also, anything we don’t need we want to give back, so all extra donation money, we will give to the Ilitch Charties for Children. It’d be great to be able to do this and make a contribution to a great local charity too…

This year’s Flugtag in Chicago should be a good one, with 34 teams from all over the U.S., and an expected attendance of over 200,000.
