Vote NO on Prop. 4

Okay all, so you all know I don't really like to talk politics with friends and what not. But I think what I'm about to bring up is very important. If you feel the need to comment on this post, please do not post anything negative in case there are young girls reading this. I don't want any young female readers who may be in this situation to read anything negative because they may already be in a tough situation. Thank you for respecting my request.

There is currently a proposition called Prop. 4 which is being addressed again this November and please vote no. This I believe is the third time this proposition has bring brought up, the other two times it has not succeeded thankfully!! However, they're back at it again. I wonder if there is a law that says you can only try to make a proposition a certain number of times. Once you hit that mark, you're chances are over for X amount of years. (example, you tried twice, after that you have to wait every 4 years to try again.) I'm sick of hearing the same things over and over. And this way if there are a certain amount of times some party can try to make a proposition, they may think of more strategic ways to campaign rather than wasting our time election after election!!

Prop. 4 is trying to make it legal for female minors to get abortions without contact notification of a parent. Statistics show most teens that do get pregnant do come and speak about it with a parent, but not all do. There are many factors on why they do not open up to their parents. For starters, they may have gotten raped and do not feel comfortable speaking to everyone. Not all teens are as fortunate to have close welcoming safe relationships with their parents, and instead they feel frightened to speak to a parent. Maybe their Father is abusive, maybe they feel as if their Mother will disown them. There are too many factors to put into this.

If a young lady gets pregnant and wants an abortion at least she's being responsible (even though getting pregnant wasn't) now and going to get professional safe help. If this is taken away and all abortions need to be cleared by a parent first, imagine how many kids still wouldn't go to their parents?? What would they do instead? They'd go and perform their own unsafe abortions else where with people who do not have the degree's nor knowledge to do so. So many deaths in the past happened because of this. A daughters death because of an unsafe illegal abortion is NOT worth it.

Prop. 4 is not going to stop teenagers from having sex. It is not going to stop rapist from raping girls, but it will prevent teens from having unsafe abortions. Please help protect our teenagers and continue to vote NO on Prop. 4!!
